Fans of The Breakfast Club tune in every morning to the favorite radio show to listen to what Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee stars in Guy Code; the Guy Court and Girl Code say.
Together with his co-hosts, Charlamagne makes the show worth tuning in. His controversial views, bold opinions, and new personality make him an engaging character. Charlamagne is one of the most prominent figures in Hip Hop commentary and is always quick to air his thoughts about current happenings, and especially things related to the rap world.
Eminem dropped his tenth studio album, Kamikaze, on 31st August 2018. His fans worldwide loved the surprise album and complimented his flow, lyricist and the delivery of tracks. In his collection, Eminem threw shots at basically everyone in the rap scene. United States president, Donald Trump, was not spared by Slim Shady either.
While some rappers took the dissing with a light touch, either responding in jest or ignoring, Charlamagne Tha God had an exciting response to the Kamikaze diss. When contacted by Esquire, the popular radio host had the following to say. “I am just happy that I have gotten to the level where rappers who can rap say my name in records, regardless if it’s a diss or not. Early in my career, I was only being dissed by Chingy. Now I’m being dissed by Eminem. Life is great.”
He also went ahead and said that Eminem had little regard for the LGBT community. This was due to the shot aimed at Tyler, the Creator in the song ‘Fall”. Charlamagne Tha God felt that Eminem was off by using a gay slur on Tyler. Charlamagne also said that Eminem was right on taking a shot at the president. As a white rapper, Charlamagne stated that it was good that Eminem was using his white privilege to address the wrongs president Trump does.
All in all, Charlamagne enjoyed Eminem’s album and had admitted that Eminem is among the greatest in the rap industry. The radio host said that Kamikaze was a great project and that Eminem will forever be a legend.
